MICRO-SD TO USB ADAPTER
Elan’s Mobidapter is Micro-SD to USB adapter developed to provide much faster and hassle-free file transfer for Mobile phones. Generally, if we wish to transfer the desired data from the cell phone to a USB, it involves various tedious steps. First, we have to copy the data from micro-SD card on the phone to the PC using a card-reader. After having done that we insert the USB drive in the PC and copy the desired data into the drive. Phew! That needs a lot of time, especially if the data is needed immediately. So to make things a whole lot easier Elan has come out with the Mobidapter, using which can do away with the PC acting as a link for the file transfer between the phone and the USB drive.
This adapter is expected to hit the markets by mid-June, 2009. The cost of the adapter though remains unknown.
The micro-SD connecting end of the Mobidapter is connected to the the micro-SD card in the phone and the USB end of the Mobidapter is connected to a USB drive.
So, this adapter is very easy to use and is a handy device for anyone with a micro-SD card in his/her phone. Using the Mobidapter you can now back-up your phone files and transfer other files to and fro a USB drive in a jiffy!
